Known as both the Aloha State and the Paradise of the Pacific, Hawaii is an American state located in the Pacific Ocean. The state consists of 137 islands that cover more than 1,500 acres of land. Hawaiians lived on the islands as early as 1120, they had limited contact with white men for many years. Hawaii joined the United States in 1959, becoming the 50th state. It ranks 11 on a list of the least populous states in the nation and is one of the nation’s 11 smallest states. There are eight main islands within the state: seven of which have residents, including Maui and Oahu along with Hawaii, which many call the Big Island.

Step 2: Click on the “Find an Offender” button.
Step 3: Enter at least the last name of the inmate in Hawaii to search. You can also use the DOC number if you have it.
Step 4: View your results to see what information is available. You can usually see the name and alias of the inmate along with the holding facility and current status. Hawaii will also show you if the person is out of custody.

Step 1: Visit the Hawaii Sex Offender & Other Covered Offenders Search and click to show that you agree to the site’s terms of use.
Step 2: Add as much information as you can to the search boxes. You can use the inmate’s name or look for certain types of offenders. The site also lets you search for offenders located with a specific range of your zip code.
Step 3: Look over your results to find the right person. Hawaii lists both the individual’s current status and the last type it updated the file.
Step 4: Click on one of the name’s shown to learn more about that person. Hawaii requires that sexual offenders update their status every year with a new photo and home address.
