Step 1: Access the official inmate search page for the state of Missouri. Upon arrival, read the warning on the page in its entirety. An essential agreement involves not disclosing information about certain offenders for their safety.

Step 2: Complete a CAPTCHA challenge to proceed. If the initial image is unreadable, you can request a new one. Keep trying until you find one you can complete, then click “proceed.”

Step 3: Reach the search form. You can opt to search by inmate number or by their name. Most individuals will likely search by name. Be attentive to additional warnings, mainly about using the information responsibly and not harassing anyone.

Step 4: Upon your search, a list of matching inmates will be displayed. This section doesn’t include mugshots; instead, you’ll find the inmate’s name, date of birth, height, weight, race, and gender.

Step 5: Click on the inmate you want more details about. You’ll be presented with their mugshot for confirmation, as well as the name of the correctional facility where they are held.

Missouri also facilitates a well-designed system for searching registered sex offenders. This system allows searches by name and geographical location and includes a map highlighting sex offenders’ residences in a specified area.

Each county maintains its own Most Wanted list, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol website provides alerts on the most wanted fugitives in the state. This resource offers a current list of fugitives and the crimes they are accused of.
