About Massachusetts State
Massachusetts is where both baseball and volleyball were invented. It was also the first state to recognize gay marriage. Its capital city, Boston, is home of the famous Harvard University, as well as 45 other colleges and universities. It is the most populous state in New England. Several surveys have rated it the best state in the United States to live. The idea for the 13 colonies originated in Massachusetts, and Shay’s Rebellion in 1786 was the spark of the Constitutional Convention.
Massachusetts DOC Inmate Search
Step 1: On the Massachusetts Department of Corrections website, you’ll find the inmate search link on the page that explains how to find an inmate in a Massachusetts prison.
Step 2: This will bring you to a Vinelink page, which is a national victim notification network. Here you will find a drop-down menu. Go to the dropdown menu and select “Massachusetts” to get your search started out. If you don’t select the state you will not be able to perform your search correctly.
Step 3: Now you can either enter the offender ID number if you have it, or, more likely, the first and last name of the inmate you are searching for. If you’re not sure of the spelling of the first name, you can just use an initial.
Step 4: You will now get a list of inmates who match your search terms. There are no mugshots available, but you should be able to figure out which one is the one you are looking up.
Step 5: By clicking on “More info,” you will be able to see their Offender ID as well as the name and link of the facility where they are serving their sentence.
You can also perform a search of the Massachusetts sex offenders registry. When you first get there you will have to read a warning. Then you will have to use the CAPTCHA to verify that you are a human being and not a robot.
Once you do that you can choose from several kinds of searches: by offender name and/or details; by city, county, or ZIP code; or by radius of a specific address.
From there, you will receive a full list that meets your parameters, and you can click on an offender’s name to learn more.
Their profile page has a lot of information, including multiple mugshots and a link to a PDF of the profile for easy printing.
Massachusetts also has a most wanted list that you can check out. Simply click on the link above, and you will see a list of the offenders and what they are charged with. Again, here, there is a link under each profile that will download a PDF you can print out for your own needs.
