About Washington State

Washington did not become a state until 1846, when the British Empire finally gave it up to America. To prevent confusion with Washington D.C., it is generally referred to as Washington State.

One of its major industries is lumber because of its vast amount of Douglas fir, hemlock, ponderosa pine, white pine, spruce, larch, and cedar. It is also the country’s largest grower of apples, hops, pears, red raspberries, spearmint oil, and sweet cherries. In that way, it is one of the breadbasket states of the United States. Beyond lumber and produce, the state’s largest industries are producing ships, aircraft, and missiles.

Washington DOC Inmate Search

Step 1: Go to the Washington State Inmate Search page. Here, you will find a list of every single person in jail or prison in Washington State. Luckily, there is also a search function that makes the look-up easier.

Washington DOC Inmate Search 1

Step 2: To make your search,  you can enter the first and last name or the inmate number. Most people don’t know the person’s inmate number and  will search by first and last name.

Step 3: You will get a list of all of the inmates that matched your search terms. You will also be told what facility they are in. There is also a direct link to that correctional facility, and you can register to be notified of any changes in the prisoner’s status. Unfortunately, there is no other information about the offender’s crime, sentence, or other data.

On the page above, there is a link to the national sex offender database, but if you want to know more about local sex offenders, you can go head to the Washington State Sex Offenders list.

Before you can start your search, you will have to read through a disclaimer and agree to it. In essence, it says that you cannot harass or otherwise intimidate the person you look up.
